Mitch's Day

Mitch broke his collarbone skiing on Saturday doing a 360 or something like that.
He broke it good so he had to have surgery, a metal plate and 6 screws. I am so glad that I was up here so that I could be close and help out. More of a comfort to me than him for sure.
He had girls and guys more than willing to take care of him.
Surgery went well and he will be out snowboarding and wake-boarding before long.
Hopefully he waits at least a month or doesn't tell me about it.

X-ray and picture of left shoulder before fixed. It was about an inch shorter than the right side.

Lisa came to keep me company. We went to Kneaders for lunch. New favorite sandwich spot. It was great to have time with her. I miss my family. Biggest and only drawback of living in Arizona.
Mitch wrote yes on the left shoulder so they made sure they didn't goof up and do the right one.

He was so funny when he woke up. He kept asking for a paper and pencil so that he could write thank you notes to the nurse's and doctors. He then told Lisa and I to give him math problems because his brain needed to work. He kept looking at the clock and saying dangit wake up it's been 5 mins. Then in 5 mins. he would do it again. I was about to tell the nurse to hide the clock. I am so lucky that I could be here for him, or for me, however it works.

These two cute girls, Karly and Victoria brought Mitch a very delicious dinner.
Enchiladas and corn. Victoria had brought another treat over earlier, Carmaletta's which I will have to get the recipes for.
He is well taken care of and really doesn't even need Mom.
