Every year we have the traditional Janda family re-enactment of the nativity.
We love to make homemade candy. I remember doing that when I was young. My mom would make tons of candy and I try to follow that tradition with my kids. This year we invited Katie and the Verplanke's over. It was very fun.
Christmas Eve we always get with Lyle's family. We have our traditional Chicken Enchilada's and then whatever else we add. It is delicious. We then share the christmas story and visit.
When the kids were little we would drive around and look at Christmas lights but they grew out of that so then we just open the traditional christmas pj's.

Christmas Morning.
I love that my kids sleep in. Kyle woke up 1st about 6:30 then went back to bed. I came down and started hot chocolate which woke Mitch up. Then Mitch went up and got everyone moving. Mitch got camping stuff and a griddle. All Kyle wanted was stuff from teh Physc show and Courtney wanted an I-pod touch.
Morgan was in the MTC this year and he was missed.

The day after Christmas Kyle and I went to The Nicoll's to learn to make Tamales. Very fun and very delicious.
It's been a great week. I mostly grateful my Savior. For the sacrifices he has made for me. For this holiday season and the gift of serving and loving. I wish we could remember all year how important everyone is. I am grateful for good friends and family.
