Morgan is an amazingly good sport. He broke his collarbone on Oct. 9 and had to wear a sling. When we went for his follow-up 10 days later they said it wasn't healing and was broken more severely than they had thought, so they decided that he would need surgery.
Late Wednesday on Oct. 27, we went in for surgery to get a metal plate put on his clavicle.
I am biased but I believe he is the best patient ever.
No complaining and happy with everything. He had to go 12 hrs, starting Tuesday after dinner without food or water, which ended up being much longer since the surgery started late. So basically he didn't eat until they brought him food on Thursday AM at 8. (approximately 36 hrs.)
He didn't complain when he had to wait in pre-op from 5 pm until 8:30 pm, being entertained by Mom, Dad and the nurse. He didn't complain when they came in at 4 am to draw his blood and make him do some breathing stuff. And he still hasn't complained that he will not be able to snowboard this year. The one exciting thing he has been looking forward to and saving his own money for.
Morgan you are an amazing kid and a great example. Thanks for helping me remember what is most important and that I need to look at my cup 1/2 full not 1/2 empty.
Life is too short to be negative.
Is it over?
