Family Reunion

We went camping at Fishlake in Utah with Brenda's family. We thought when planning it that it would be about 9 hours. It turned out to be 10 1/2. We had a great time but after that drive we wished we had stayed a week. It was beautiful. I have to say that I forget how much I love the Utah mountains. Cool, peaceful, no electronics, just relaxing and enjoying each others company. Some of my most favorite memories as a child are camping with my cousins and grandparents. Those of you who know me now would be shocked to know how much I loved to get dirty, catch snakes, horseback ride, and jump in any old dirty pond and swim. I had no fear. What happens to us when we get older? I can say I don't like it much.

Me, Jenny and Jalaine hiding in the tent from the rain.
Learning HoeDownThrowDown
My brother Jim cooking dutch oven...the best!!!

Doing each others hair.

Playing games with each other. This game was called Never have I ever...(my family learned way to much in this game about each other).

Fishing in the boat, Matt, Morgan and Mitch

One of my cutest nephews, ok I have like 12 so I can't have a favorite but Cole kept me laughing the whole time.

This is a picture of Cole coming back with Mitch and Courtney. We saw a deer down in the meadow so Mitch went after it. Cole followed. They didn't find the deer so to speak but Cole came back with his deer in hand ready to skin and cook for dinner. (check out his antlers and don't dare try and call it firewood)

My brother Jim serenading Kyle.
This is the first time we forget to get family pictures. Sad but true.
After getting home from the reunion my Aunt Lela passed away. She was in her 90's and ready to return home. So at that point I turned around and went up to Blanding to the funeral. It was another great reunion to visit with all of my relatives up there. My Aunt Ardell and My grandmother are both in their 90's also. It is amazing to watch these women and hear their stories. I am greatful daily for my heritage and my continual blessings.

This is my Grandmother. She will be 94 this year. An amazing women.
My cousin Cory and me.
It was a wonderful weekend. I am sad that I was unable to see everyone and spend a little more time with those I did see. Thanks so much Bruce and Becca for all the time you put into planning.
